"Dancing is not just getting up painlessly, like a leaf blown on the
wind; dancing is when you tear your heart out and rise out of your body
to hang suspended between the worlds." ~ Rumi

Canning Tomatillos
![]() |
| We begin buy going out into the beautiful gardens, getting our feet into the dirt, and start picking away all the ripe tomatillos. We picked a couple 5 gallon buckets, all ready to make salsa verde! |

| Then, after we wash and peel them, we cut them and cook them down in low heat, making sure they don't burn at the bottom! | . |

Working for Food
Working for food,
This is food for the body, because a lot of our physical energy goes into producing, planting and harvesting, It is food for the mind, makes me imagine beyond anything else that we could ever think is possible, these are the fruits of the earth, these give us life, we give them life, we are all related. This is food for the soul. It reminds me of who we are as human beings, and in a way it awakens the ancestral memory in our DNA of what we can do while living on this earth, and what we have done many generations before us. Living of the land, it is abundant and so rewarding, to develop a relationship with plants and the food that goes into your body. This is our pick of the day from the beautiful gardens at Foreman Farm, Just to name a few, Rainbow chard, dahlias, green and purple basil, yellow squash, watermelon, heirloom tomatoes, cilantro, yellow and purple beans, Fuji apples.... Thank you mother earth.

The Beginning of a New Age
Today I feel such a deep sense of gratitude towards all life, to all the beauty and abundance that the earth provides. Last night it was snowing and I observed the perfection of each snow flake. How can it all be so perfect and beautiful in its own way, Crystals of beauty falling from the sky, what is there to be afraid of? We choose what we want to focus our energy to, and right now there are many beautiful creations to be thankful for. Lets pay attention to the things that matter, to all that is real, pure and true. I saw the sunsetting behind the dessert stone creations in New Mexico and the power of that vision was the wisest message at the moment. Nature creates the most outstanding colors, the most vivid and most true to our eyes, its is a reminder that with each sun setting there is a sunrise to come, the darkest moment of the night is right before the sunrises once again, we must experience the darkness before we live in the light. We must not forget the great grandmother moon, shining its great luminous silver light upon us in the darkest of nights, she reminds us that even in the dark there is always light. There is ALWAYS light. We must learn to transform fear with our own truth, our own light and this light comes from within, from the heart, from the ancient wisdom of the soul. Nothing can hurt us, everything is transformed, the power of renewal is strong, and it is real and is happening now, it is a true gift, we are beings of constant transformation, change, and renewal. We must learn to trust our own hearts, and the infinite journey of the soul, the ancient journey of the spirit. All my relations.

This mural was done by me and Bryce on one day! It was a very interesting process. The horse is an animal that keeps following us in spirit through our journey, and will continue to do so.

Be formless, and you will find yourself.
Today is the first day of the year of 2012. I was
very blessed to receive this new year surrounded by soul family , a beautiful
ceremony, and a fire under the sky that turned into a blanket of stars. The
brightest stars that we had ever seen, It was as if they were sending us
signals, saying , we are here! And we saw them, so bright so beautiful, the
vibrations were stronger than ever. It is special to receive the energies of a
new year by being aware of all the elements that are around us at all times. There
is so much, and we are constantly being reminded by the messages that are given
to us. Everything is alive, and it all carries energy and a vibration to us.
Today was a sunny but cool day at the ocean. listening to the waves of
the great ocean, crash. It is such an ancient sound, that our ancestors have
been hearing for a long time. Just be, and listen, and you will know.
Just in this first day of the year, I was reminded
again to live for unconditional love, sharing and being of service to humanity.
Don't be afraid of those who need help because you don't know what you can do
for them, or because you are afraid they will hurt you. There is nothing to
fear.
I feel this will be the greatest change for this
year. Be of service to humanity, by sharing and being compassionate. We are all
a reflection of each other.
Tonight I saw myself in the eyes of a homeless
woman who stumbled across our path while driving at night in a dark curvy road.
Her breath smelled like alcohol and her words were incoherent and made very
little sense. We told her we could take her to were she needed to go, so she
got in our truck and we drove her to a grocery store to get her something to
eat. Trying to figure out were we could take her, but physically she wasn't in
her right senses. I could see sadness in her eyes, and a woman who is
full of life giving love, as a mother would be... She ended up telling us to
drop her off in the park. So we did. She said thank you and her eyes changed,
no longer lost, they were shining love, her eyes said it all. She was thankful
that we had helped her, and even if we didn't help enough, we listened, and
tried to understand. As we drove away she kept staring at our truck, she turned
and walked into the darkness of the park. With this story the year begins.

Zapatos nuevos
I find myslef living this reality, it's so perfect. I feel like I couldnt ask for more. I am free.
I am alive
I remind myself to breathe
and I know that everyday is a gift
It is such a blessing just to be alive
Every breath I take
is full of life just for me to breathe
from the universe.
Ellen gave me a pair of shoes today, they are working shoes.
the tip of them is very hard and heavy. She said that way if a horse steps on me or if something heavy falls on my feet it would be fine. They are black and I just slip them on. I feel like a real working woman now. I have never owned shoes like this kind. I have been walking barefoot for the most part. But these shoes are special. They remind me of these shoes my mom used to have. I have this memory of being a little girl, and in my closet I found these black shoes with laces on them and I put my tiny girl foot inside and they were the heaviest shoes I had ever worn. I remember how hard the tip of them was. Oh yes, they were my mom's working shoes. She was an architect. Now I'm wondering what kind of work she was doing to have worn shoes like that. Now, it is me who wears the hard and heavy black shoes. They make me feel like Im walking a new path, it's solid, and grounded. The earth growing under my feet. walking on the dirt, on the dirt.
I am free
I am alive.
I now walk on the dirt with my new shoes.

Sirena del Aire respira...
Woke up to a beautiful, kind of cold day in the hills of Harmony Hill (the farm of Ellen Broslovsky). It is the most comforting and grounding reality of the moment. It has been an intense 3 months of traveling non stop through the west coast of north america. British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, and California, were I find myself now. Life has provided us with so much abundance and blessings in the journey. Abundance of love, meeting all the right people at the right time, delicious abundant meals, made with love and passion, abundance of breathtaking beauty and abundance of self knowledge even in the times when there has been very little of everything. Even when what we think are curses, they are all blessings in disguise. Its pretty magical. It has been almost one month since Bryce and I left the truck stored in Chico, and began to travel on "Anicca" which means impermanence, the law of nature that nothing is permanent, we are in constant change every second of our life. So Anicca is our motorcycle! which also resembles a wild horse.. we have traveled about 2000 miles in the past couple of weeks, its been such an amazing journey, leading us to meet all kinds of places and wonderful beings along the way.
So I finally got the time to begin this blog, which I could have started many weeks, months, and perhaps years ago, about all kinds of journey and adventures. My mom keeps telling me I should write a book about all my adventures along the way, so I will take her word on that and will begin to write. For my own record and for anyone else who may be curious to read a little bit. It's all good! I will begin to write today, Sunday, November, 6, 2011.
Last monday, we rode Anicca from LA to Exeter, about 4 hours north to meet with Ellen and her husband Allen. Through WWOOF we found a beautiful farm were we have been sharing and learning all kinds of things. Ellen, a very inspiring woman, has been teaching us to milk her two goats, Harmony and Hillary. Its SO NICE to have fresh goat milk every morning with our oats. She also has about 20 of more chickens running around freely and happy through her farm. These are the happiest eggs I have ever had. We have also been learning to clean after and take care of her two horses. We sleep in the barn, and get to live in a peaceful place. What else can I ask for? I feel that this is the way life should be! Being outside all day, communicating with the animals, looking up at the sky, feeling the warm sun, and the cool breeze. Viva la Vida!
